Robotic Surgery
Robotic Driving Licence & Robotic Basic Skills Resources
Pre-course preparation requirements and downloadable resources for the ALRSGBI Robotic Driving Licence and Robotic Basic Skills programmes.
Programme Overview
Getting Started with Robotics
Before attending an ALRSGBI robotic surgical skills course, all participants are required to complete pre-course preparation using the Institute for Surgical Excellence’s digital platform. This ensures a consistent baseline of theoretical knowledge and readiness for practical assessment.
The pre-course requirement is free, takes 1–2 hours to complete, and has been validated as part of the Fundamentals of Robotic Surgery (FRS) curriculum for Intuitive systems.
Please note: Pre-course preparation must be completed prior to attending any ALRSGBI robotic surgery training event. Proof of completion may be required on the day. The programme is free and accessible via the Institute for Surgical Excellence app.
