Key Highlights
- The Registry has recorded 2,262 hernia repairs from more than 230 surgeons across 55 organisations and over 60 hospitals during its first 14 months of operation
- A 47% patient-reported outcome measure (PROMs) response rate has been achieved, demonstrating strong patient engagement and providing valuable insights into quality of life and recovery after surgery.
- Across all hernia types, 97.2% of procedures were completed without intraoperative complications, with low overall readmission rates and high patient satisfaction.
- The Registry incorporates both clinical outcomes and PROMs, supporting a modern, patient-centred approach to benchmarking, research, and quality improvement
